About Wick
Wick helps college students stay on top of school, work, and life - without burning out.
Students juggle classes, assignments, jobs, friends, and deadlines with far less structure than they had in high school. Wick brings everything into one place, then helps students understand what matters, make a plan, and actually follow through.
We're building the personal agent students rely on every day - built for and with students.
The Role
We're hiring an early-career product designer to make Wick clear, useful, and lovable.
You'll work directly with the CEO and founding team and own design across core product experiences — turning messy student problems into simple, polished solutions. You'll also shape the moments around the product: onboarding, App Store, landing pages, launch assets, and the shareable experiences students talk about.
This is a hands-on role for someone who:
-
Starts with empathy, understands students' needs, motivations, and the "why" behind their behavior
-
Simplifies messy student workflows into clear, usable experiences
-
Cares how products feel, not just how they work
-
Has strong visual taste across product, brand, and marketing surfaces
-
Moves fast and ships real product
What You'll Work On
The full student experience, including:
-
Core product: Today/Home, Planning, Focus, onboarding, integrations, social, gamification, and subscription flows
-
Student-facing moments: App Store, landing pages, launch assets, ads, social content, and the moments students see before and after they install
What you'll do
-
Design end-to-end across flows, UI, states, and edge cases
-
Make Wick feel clear, low-friction, emotionally supportive, and distinctive
-
Spend time with students, run research, and turn what you learn into better product decisions
-
Prototype quickly in Figma and with AI tools to explore and test
-
Work closely with engineering to ship production-ready designs and keep the design system consistent
You Might Be a Great Fit If You…
-
Have 1–3 years of product design experience (or equivalent)
-
Are strong in mobile UX, web, and visual design
-
Sweat the details - edge cases, states, consistency, accessibility, and implementation quality
-
Care deeply about student psychology: overwhelm, procrastination, motivation, and follow-through
-
Move fast, seek feedback early, and iterate with an open mind
-
Have high taste and a strong instinct for what students find useful, memorable, and worth sharing
