Putting Real Young Artists in the Spotlight

We build Wick for students, with students. And we want to take that approach to the art in our product as well.

We're looking for art for our "reward cards" – digital trading cards a user receives when they complete a task. Picture this: you’re cramming for a final, and you finally get that last task done, and boom, you get a cool art card as a reward. They are fun and they give you a little visual delight and boost when you achieve something. We figure it's a good way to help students keep going. And rather than art we make, we want those cards to contain the art from our community. It's not a paid opportunity, but it is a chance to get your work out there.

If you’re 18–25 and making weird, gorgeous, personal work in your sketchbooks, iPads, notebooks, Discord servers, wherever — I want to see it. Wick wants to see it. The world should see it. 

Getting your art in front of people is hard. If we can help tilt the scales a little — give young illustrators, comic artists, animators, and designers a platform where their vision becomes part of something thousands of students use daily — that’s work worth doing. You make the art. We give it a home, with your name on it and your IG handle right there in lights. Selected winners will be in the app, in our socials, and the artists get shoutouts in our social media. Or, maybe you’re just happy to make another Wick user smile. No pressure.

 + Once a month, we’ll take a look and pick the ones we think best represents our vibe.  We'll probably select around 20 per month.

+  Submit as many times as you like. 

​

+ If we don't pick your work, I'm happy to send some feedback and ways to improve your work, if you're interested. Consider it a free portfolio review.

This will be a rolling process –  no deadline. Submit when you feel ready, we'd love to see your work. Let's make something weird and human together.

This is the short version. The full Terms of Submission are the official agreement.

• You own your art.

• The art is 100% created by you.

• By submitting, you let Wick use your art in the app and to promote Wick.

• We’ll credit you when we can.

• We won’t sell your art.

• You can ask us to stop using your art in the future at any time.

• Submissions are unpaid.

• You must be 14 or older.

• If you’re under 18, you must have approval from a parent or legal guardian..
